I am readinfg the book "sacred and healing beers," by stephen harrod buhner.
I was wondering if anyone else has read or tried any of the recipies in that book, especially the psycotropic section.

I am thinking I will try a yarrow beer this summer!

I have his (Stephen Harrod Buhner) book sitting on my desk right now, have read it and have listened to him speak (Portland, OR 2002). He is certainly out there on a limb!

I have not tried the recipes in the book but I have used some of his ideas to make some other beers. My only warning (since you mention the psychotropic section) is that some of the ingredients he mentions and uses are not labeled safe for human consumption by the FDA. Take it for what you will, just thought I would throw that out there for you.

Wait a minute... isn't the author listed right after the title in the first post? Is there an inside joke I'm not getting?

Phew... thought I was losing my mind there! Maybe I had had one of those weird beers or something...
