    - just a newbie fighting a bitter/mediciny flavor in all my recent batches...found it! i wasn't rinsing (or allowing to dry well enough) my bottles after iodofore sanitation.

I was referring to spam in general, not this forum.

Is there anyway to bring back the part that shows where the user is from? I kind of liked knowing where all my beer friends are around the country. By the way, I'm not really trying to be a chronic complainer. My wife claims that I have OCD and that I hate change. Maybe she's right.

Yeah, I pointed that out before -- they're workin' on it.

Apparently some parts of the database got jostled in transport, so we were getting birth date where location should be.

Then we were getting ZIP (you just need to memorize a lot of numbers and you are set).

No reason not to get back to location . . . eventually.

That's somebody who apparently squeezed snuck in when were turning one off and the other on. I kill dozens of attempted registrations a day, but didn't see that one until the post.

Its also occasionally useful when answering questions. If a new hop grower is from CO or NM they won't have problems with Japanese Beetles, wheras someone from VA or PA will.

RDW, the worst that can happen is that you have to actually 'buy' beer.

    Drinking: Coal Porter, American Amber
    Primary:
    Secondary: Saison
Conditioning: Pale Ale, Bohemian Pilsner Lager
In queue: Orange Tripel, Imperial Stout, IPA

My location showed up on the display, but it put up my zip code rather than the info in the "Where you live" box.

Well, I do agree that the new format (ok the standard format, new to realbeer) is easier to read, I prefer the old colors.

So if there is going to be a vote.....

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but how does one download a new avatar now? "Edit Avatar" allowed me to delete my old one (colors clashed <g>) but now I can't figure how to download my new one, only "Do Not Use Avator" or the default "Pre-defined" choices.

Where is the option to upload an avatar. I don't see it on the "edit avatar" page. The only option is to pick one of the stock photos.

    OK. How/where?

I admitted I may be missing the obvious, but on that "Edit Avatar" page, I can't find a "button", a "right click" or any other option for uploading.

You should see an area that says Custom Avatar. There is an open box that says upload from computer. Hit browse and find the file you want on your computer. Then hit save changes.
