I believe this is the best solution as well. When I log on from different computers, they have their cookies set differently, and I'm sometimes able to see new posts, sometimes not; sometimes able to keep them fresh if I just log onto the homepage, sometimes not. This solves the problem and at least lets you see what you've missed.

I'm glad to see you on again too.

New problem: I click on "New Posts" and get the new posts just fine. At least until I try to bring up page 2. Then I get "Sorry - no matches."

RDW, the worst that can happen is that you have to actually 'buy' beer.

I just found a new function that kind of creeps me out a little bit. If you click on a users profile, you can see that the user is viewing a thread, or responding to a thread. It's a little like stalking. LOL

I still wish we had the old "New Posts" back. Used to be, I could click on it, spend as much as a few hours reading through them (switching back and forth between work and the forums), and when logged off and returned the system remembered when I last clicked "new posts," and showed me posts since I last checked it.
Now, if I spend a few hours reading my "new posts," when I log off and return, the "new posts" feature only looks for posts after I last logged off. This means as much as 3-4 hours of "new posts" are missing to me.

Any chance we can get that function back to the way it was?

It's a compromise, but it works.

Wow, I bug off for a while, and what happens?!

Actually, I like it, as it appears to be the same forum software (or whatever) as another forum I frequent, so huzzah!
(but no "new posts"? Drag!) Although I don't quite like the avatar-username layout.

Off to Prague in a few days, hopefully I'll find some places I didn't know about when I lived there!

How can I automatically subscribe to threads I post in? Do I have to manually select "Subscribe" under Thread Tools every time?

I am having issues with the search function. I was trying to find posts about using an Igloo Ice Cube for a mash tun, but when I search for "cube," it finds zero threads. I know there is at least 1 thread about it, if not more.

Check the time set for the search. Sometimes a thread is old enough that it is outside of the time frame parameters.
