    Warsteiner

Somehow we got ahold of a few authentically German bottles of Warsteiner which from its appearance must surely be a lager. It's described as "premium verum," for which I somewhat unsuccessfully attempted a Google translation. Evidently it means cinnamon, cleaver, or bedstraw. But later I did learn indeed it's a pilsner

I'm wondering though if you like it. Given such a handsome label and guaranteed foreign origin I had expected it to score at least 8.0 but was disappointed when I'd score it barely above 3.0. Only entry in our Greater Southwest Beer-Tasting Society Beer List:

Warsteiner Wacfteiner (?) beer, Germany 3.0/4.6; 4.2/4.4/4.1 (HU)

So let's hear from you, preferably if you've tried it and better yet if you speak Deutsch

It's pretty much the Old Milwaukee of Germany-a very bland low price beer for those days when you really don't care what your guests enjoy, they're getting what you're willing to pay for.
