The Brewers Dinner is an annual fund-raiser barbecue for the Oregon Brewers Guild(OBG). In 2013, it will be held on the eve of the Oregon Brewers Festival . This year’s dinner will be on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2013. Proceeds from the dinner help the Guild perform its mission of promoting and protecting Oregon’s craft brewing industry. Brewers participating in the festival will be in attendance, as will Associate and Brewery Members of the Oregon Brewers Guild. Attendance at the Brewers Dinner is going to be limited to 800 people. Tickets for this year’s dinner will be on sale for $50 for OBG Brewery and Associate members and breweries in the 2013 Oregon Brewers Festival. The menu for 2013 will include pork loin, smoked salmon, roasted veggie medley, potato salad, dinner rolls and a chocolate brownie. There will be approximately 24 beers, brewed and donated by the Brewery Members of the OBG, available at the dinner. All of these beers are special beers that will not be available at the festival. You will receive tickets for 8-6oz samples of beer.

The Hophouse is hosting PDX BEER BRÄUL where you’ll have the chance to show off your beer knowledge in a blind tasting competition, featuring beers from HUB and several other breweries in town. For $10, you can sign up for this competition, by yourself or with a cohort, and see how well you know your Portland beers. Each six beer-flight will have a corresponding list, and you’ll have to match each of the six beers to a particular brewery/beer.

Limited supply of glass. $5.00 for designated driver cup with free root beer and water. (you are not allowed to sample or drink alcohol at all.) Additional tokens are $1.00 each. Samples (3 oz) are $1.00. Full beer $4.00 Wine from St. Josef’s Winery available.
