Rock Bridge Brewing Company, Located in Columbia Missouri, To Expand Facility by 16,500 Square Feet, Prepares For Production of Canned Beer
Founded in spring of 2012, Rock Bridge Brewing Company is located in Columbia, Missouri. They have been producing beer in a 1,500 square foot facility with a 350 barrel yearly capacity. The owners have leased an 18,000 square foot building that will produce approximately 4,500 barrels a year. This is a significant increase that Rock Bridge Brewery is ready to take on. “We’re always trying to produce more beer at a faster rate, and this expansion is the perfect opportunity to do so.”
The new brewing facility will include a 30 barrel brewhouse along with 30 and 60 barrel fermenters and a canning line that will produce 36 to 40 cans per minute.
Dave Brouder, founder and owner, and Stu Burkemper, head brewer and owner, have always had a passion for beer. Burkemper was previously the assistant brewer at O’Fallon Brewery and Brouder was a home brewer for years. They collaborated ideas and came up with a brewery that is now their own.
The brewery has three year-round beers including a Sif’s Blonde Ale, Saison, and Occident Coast IPA, and upcoming seasonal beers including Tailgate Brown, Obligatory Pumpkin Ale, and Farion’s Belt Baltic Porter.
