Another contender for the title of Vancouver's newest brew pub is about to throw their hat in the ring: step forward Steel Toad Brewing Company on 2nd and Quebec who seem ready to open very soon. The menu is split between the dining room and dining hall; the latter is comprised of small plates (chicken wings, cauliflower beignets) plus larger offerings (beef shin ragu, shepherd's pie) with the room menu split into starters (beef and foie gras carpaccio, carrot and rabbit soup) and mains (herb-crusted halibut, beef tenderloin) plus a lunch and brunch menu. Add to that a nightly live music programme, pizza oven and, of course - an in-house brewing programme. They promise: "...a selection of guest beers from both local and foreign brewers (and)... up to 10 house beers pouring at once."
