Lance Armstrong, the drug shame cyclist who was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles, took up a new sport recently - but it didn't end well.

Big Tex is banned from participating in any cycling events thanks to is history with performance-enhancing drugs, but decided to participate in the beer mile run at a race near his home in Texas, in a bid to qualify for the world championships.

The event sees challengers drink a beer after every 400 meters round the track.

In total, competitors drink four beers as they complete the circuit four times.

However, Armstrong, 43, found it all rather too much and dropped out of the race after just ONE LAP - claiming the challenge was a lot harder than he anticipated.

“One and done,” declared Armstrong.

“That was way different than I thought [it would be]. You might see me [at the World Championships], just spectating.”
