The brewery pop-up goes next level tomorrow, February 27.

Jordan and Amarys Herndon's global cuisine (with a Texas twang) has been popping up at the NOLA Brewing Tap Room on Tuesdays since last summer. Recently, the duo started recommending beers to best pair with each dish, informally. On Saturday, The Old Portage will be bringing it for a full scale, multi-course beer pairing dinner in the brewery.

The five course menu includes: lemonfish crudo, TX BBQ shrimp, rabbit and dumplings, and the mainstay of their weekly gig, the pimento cheese plate. It's actually called the Preservation Plate, but it always has their pimento cheese along with other charcuterie and snacks. This one will also have hog's head cheese, smoked duck andouille, and hot sausage crepinette, along with pickles and mustard. It'll be served with NOLA's taproom-only beer, Mango Peach Mecha Imperial Ale.

The dinner ends with an "intermezzo" taste of the brewery's 7th anniversary beer, Against the Current sour ale, and then a beer float using Irish Channel stout with strawberry gelato and gianduja crumble.

The details: the event starts at 7pm at NOLA Brewing, and is $65. For more information and to get tickets, check the Eventbrite page here.
