Portland’s Brews for New Avenues announces Live Auction packages

PORTLAND, OREGON: 07.17.2018 - Brews for New Avenues – the largest craft beer fundraiser in the world – has announced some of the amazing live auction packages that will be featured at their seventh annual event scheduled for August 25th at Portland’s Leftbank Annex. Attendees at last year’s event saw a single bottle of Cantillon go for more than $8,000, and this year’s packages are sure to be part of another record-breaking year for Brews for New Avenues. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $500,000 for programs serving young people experiencing or at-risk of homelessness.

This year’s live auction packages include rare lambic bottles as well as exclusive beer-centered trips and experiences; some of the most anticipated packages featured are:

· A one-of-a-kind 9-bottle set of Gueuzerie Tilquin’s Fruited Lambics; an extremely small size of each batch was made and have only been available to taste at events & festivals.

· A bottle of Bokkereyder’s Oma – Salmanazer, a special blend made just for this event.

· Rare bottles from Cantillon including a Lou Pepe Kriek 2010 – Jeroboam , Fou’Foune 2017 – Jeroboam, and Menu Pineau.

· A trip for two to Brussels and experience with Belgian brewery 3 Fonteinen.

· A trip for two to Austin, Texas to visit Jester King Brewery.

· Special brewer’s experiences with Oregon’s pFriem Family Brewers and Great Notion Brewing.

“We are excited about this year’s line-up of auction items and overwhelmed by the generosity of the beer community,” says Jessica Elkan, New Avenues for Youth’s Director of Development & Communications. “Whether you’re a beer collector or just love great craft beer, Brews provides a unique opportunity for folks to support an important cause – ending youth homelessness – and we can’t wait for this year’s event!”

In addition to the live auction, Brews for New Avenues features a silent auction of rare and large format bottles, artisan food, live music from “The Kinky Brothers,” and craft beer from over 50 different local, national and international breweries. Guests are also able to purchase mystery bottles from the famous 1,000-bottle Wall of Beer, as well as special limited releases and collaborations from Bokkereyder, De Garde Brewing, Great Notion Brewing, Gueuzerie Tilquin, and Upright Brewing.
